SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Speaker Kavinder Gupta today directed the Government to take a serious note of alleged desecration of a second temple in Jammu region in less than three days.
As the Question Hour was underway in the Legislative Assembly today, BJP members stood up on their feet and asked the Speaker to direct the Government to take notice of these incidents.
“Three days back, a temple was desecrated in Janipur in Jammu. Yesterday, a similar incident happened in Nanak Nagar. A man entered a temple in the area and tried to vandalise it. “It is a deliberate attempt to disturb peace in the state.
The Government should enquire these incidents and ensure they are not repeated,” they said. The Speaker later directed the government to take serious note of such incidents and stop them from happening in future. (AGENCIES)
