JAMMU, Dec 17: Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) Grandparents Day was celebrated today with great pomp and show at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Bantalab, here today.
The chief guest of the function was Bachcha Bharti, Prof Rastriya Sanskrit Sansthan, Kot Bhalwal, Jammu and the guest of honour was V Santhosh Kumar, Principal KV Bantalab, Jammu.
Students of Primary wing presented various cultural items and conveyed the Importance of the day through a Skit and other colourful programmes.
On this occasion, Grandparents and maternal grandparents took part in race and musical chair competition.
The winners were given away the prizes on the occasion.
V Santhosh Kumar, Principal KV Bantalab reminded the gathering about the importance of values to be given to respected elders as blessings of elders show the right path to every member.
On this occasion, Vice-Principal Romi Amrit and all Primary teachers were present.
The programme ended with a vote of thanks and recital of National Anthem.
