Kupwara, Dec 18: Kupwara Police on Thursday attached a two-storeyed residential house belonging to an accused in connection with a case registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) in the district.
An official said, the property belongs to Wali Mohammad Mir, son of Mohammad Sadiq Mir, a resident of Marsari Chowkibal, Kupwara, and was attached in connection with FIR No. 53/2025 registered at Police Station Kralpora under Sections 7/25 of the Arms Act and Sections 13, 23 and 39 of the UAP(A) Act.
The attachment was carried out in compliance with PHQ Order No. 4589 of 2025 dated December 8, 2025, after due approval from the Director General of Police, J&K. Police said the action was executed strictly in accordance with law. (KNC)
