*Asks peoole to gear up for LB polls

BISHNAH, Feb 15: AICC secretary (Co-Incharge Organization) Neeraj Kundan attended a meeting of workers at village Changia in border block, Arnia today. The meeting was organised by local villagers.
The meeting was attended by villagers including elders, women and youngsters. In the meeting, Neeraj Kundan thanked the people for their support during his election campaign. He assured that he is always there for his people and will continue his struggle for the genuine issues of his people.
Neeraj also highlighted the burning issue of electricity bills. He said it is very unfortunate that huge electricity bills are being charged from poor people of border. He also highlighted that there are many BPL families who are living in Tin sheds and Department have imposed electricity bills of lakhs on them.
Kundan said that it’s quite unfair and injustice to compare people of borders to ordinary citizens. People living on borders have different challenges despite these challenges they have always stood with the nation and plays a crucial role on border along with security forces. These people deserve free electricity but it’s very unfortunate that they have been harassed and charged with unjust bills.
He assured the people that he will raise their issue before UT Government.
Neeraj also highlighted the issue of increasing crime rate in Bishnah constituency. The Congress leader said that the major reason for this is increasing drugs in our localities. He appealed to the younger generation to remain far away from drugs.
While addressing workers, Kundan asked them to be ready for upcoming Local Body (LB) elections and focus on the strengthening of organization at grassroots level.
