Its really heartwarming to know that our Ranji trophy team has made to the last 8 for the first time.This is a new year gift all of us.Congratulations to all the members of the team.The team has put up splendid show during the entire tournament.
This accomplishment has laid a perfect launching pad for the upcoming cricketers of the state.Prior to this,there used to be some good individual performances but the overall performance of the team was not good enough to fetch them a place in elite group of last 8 teams.
While rejoicing our success ,we should not forget the role of our former coach B.S Bedi who single handedly brought about a magical transformation in the mind set of our cricketers,who from individual thinking cricketers got transformed into mentally tough cricketers and they started believing in themselves.
The entire cricket loving fraternity of our State is looking forward to next encounters with keen interest and wish our team very best of luck.This is another moment for all of us to ponder over the lack of infrastructural facilities for the State cricketers . The State of affairs is pathetic and dismal. Our Cricket administrators should look at this issue more proactively as without adequate infrastructure ,it is difficult for our cricketers to compete with their counterparts from other parts of country.
