JAMMU, Sept 17: Kashmiri Pandit United Front (KPUF) in a meeting today expressed serious concern over the failure of Government in settling the problems of displaced Pandits.
The meeting was held under the leadership of Satish Kissu convener of the Front who said that despite passage of 33 years the Government failed to frame any concrete policy on their rehabilitation in Valley. The future of community has turned totally bleak and their hope has been belied due to the stoic silence maintained by the successive governments on the dignified and honourable return of the community.
The meeting, while highlighting their demands raised slogans and stressed on their honourable and dignified rehabilitation in accordance to geo-political aspirations of the community.
While discussing the concerns of the community Kissu said that the displaced Kashmiri Pandit community has suffered immensely following their exodus from Kashmir. Following their genocide and ethnic cleansing from Kashmir the community is getting dispersed all across the country and globe and as a result losing its social and cultural identity. Satish Khoda said that all the perpetrators who have committed genocide of Kashmiri Hindus need to be tried in a fast track court and brought to justice.
Virender Raina president Panun Kashmir said that there is a dire need to simplify the process of voting for the displaced community. The cumbersome process of M-Form needs to be done away with completely and normal process of voting needs to be adopted for them.
