JAMMU, Aug 11: Kashmir visit of Congress leader and MP Wayanad, Rahul Gandhi disappointed Kashmiri Pandits (KPs).
This was stated in a handout by Girdhari Lal Raina, J&K BJP spokesman who also said that Congress and Rahul Gandhi tried their best to project connect with Kashmir and Kashmiris but failed to impress displaced KP community.
“KPs are disappointed as Rahul Gandhi ignored displaced employees recruited under PM’s package who are putting up in Mata Kheer Bhawani Shrine complex at Tulmulla, Ganderbal,” he said adding that Rahul even not visited them by walking 50 steps extra nor did he speak about their condition and that of their community.
“He even not raised the issues confronting minority Hindu community of Kashmir valley in the past either as MP or as a leader of Congress,” Raina maintained. “Minority Hindu community of Kashmir has not forgotten the role played by forefathers of Rahul Gandhi in creating, nourishing and sustaining problems in Kashmir starting from 1939,” he further said.
Raina also said that Rahul Gandhi and his party have a lot to answer before he claims a role in Kashmir affairs.
