KPs delegation calls on CS, discusses issues

JAMMU, Mar 20: A delegation of Kashmiri Pandits (KPs) led by Ranjeet Gurkha, president, Shri Shri Jagat Amba Sharika Chakreshwari Sanstha Trust, Devi Angan, Srinagar, called on Atal Dulloo, Chief Secretary (CS), J&K, here today.
While speaking, Gurkha apprised the Chief Secretary about the latest developments of the Shri Shri Jagat Amba Sharika Chakreshwari Sanastha Trust. The delegation comprised of ML Suthoo, Vijay Qazi, JK Khar, Advocate Arun Dhar and B L Jalali, submitted a memorandum of demands to the Chief Secretary.
Through memorandum, Ranjeet Gurkha demanded bringing of Shri Shri Sharika Chakreshwari Devi Temple, Devi Angan, Hari Parbat, Srinagar, the presiding deity of more than 5100 years old, on tourist map of Jammu and Kashmir so as to increase the influx of local, national and international tourists.
He also demanded handing over of a temple of the Trust in Gulmarg to Sanstha for its rehabilitation as it has tremendous demand of the devotees. While speaking further, Gurkha demanded completion of the approved projects within the stipulated time.
Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo heard the issues raised by the delegation patiently and assured necessary action.
