JAMMU, June 21: Appealing the entire KP community particularly the organizational leaders and activists to unite, the Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) today said that unity is imperative in achieving the set goals.
KPC president, Kundan Kashmiri in an appeal asked the community members to sacrifice their personal egos and show willingness to bear personal displeasures in the larger interest of the community.
“We all must understand that all political and non—political organisations, separatists, so—called secularists, State and Central Governments are united to hamper our interests and damage our 27 years long struggle for our “separate homeland (Kashyap Bhoomi’). We are passing through very critical period of history, everybody is watching us in particular those widows, orphans and old aged isolated couples wailing for the death of their , children, near and dear ones by militants, sun strokes, snake bites and waiting to know the reason for which they have been punished. These people have lot of hopes attached to their community leadership and we must come to their expectations,” said Kashmiri.
This unity is needed for all those community sufferers, living in rented and tented accommodations, clusters, muddy lanes and dusty streets of Jammu, Udhampur, Kathua, Delhi and other parts of the country.
KPC president appealed to community members to take pledge for standing together, avoid contradictions and to launch an effective struggle in order to invite the attention of State and Central Governments, politicians and leaders running the polity of the nation.
“Let us follow our joint cause and our common goal of consolidated rehabilitation within the ambit of Indian Constitution and abrogation of Article 370. At the same time it is not only organizational leaders and activists, but all individuals of the community to participate in community struggle to safeguard the honour, dignity and identity of the community,” said Kashmiri.
