JAMMU, Nov 17: A delegation of Kashmiri Pandit Sabha, (KPS) Ambphalla, Jammu led by Sabha president, K K Khosa met B B Vyas, Advisor to Governor to solicit his attention towards pressing demands of the displaced K P community and submitted a memorandum to him in this regard.
Sh. Khosa wanted the Government to immediately release the appointment orders of over 400 selected displaced youths, who are waiting for the orders for last 6 months. He was given to understand that some of them stand risk of getting overaged if the orders are further delayed. He underlined the importance of employment for displaced youth vis-a-vis future. The delegation was assured by Advisor that due to the petition in court there has been delay and now court will be requested to allow the release of selection list as it has no bearing on petition filed.
Khosa further expressed Governments empathy towards the encroachment of religious and private properties by Government bodies and mafia. He said even court orders are not executed and this is absolute failure of authorities to safe guarding property of displaced. Some cases were referred for the perusal of Advisor with the request to take action earnestly. The delegation members also raised concern about abject State of temples and shrines and wanted the present administration to implement orders for pending bill for safe guarding of Hindu shrines and temple in Kashmir. Advisor was also requested to take up the issue with Hon’ble Governor.
The president KP Sabha also impressed upon the Advisor that the all important issues of return and rehabilitation in the Valley should not be allowed to remain on the backburner any further. The modality should be worked out in consultation with the community after developing a consensus on the issue. The PM package also needs to be remodeled to make it practicable.
The delegation included Ashok Braroo, L.Bagati, G.J. Kampassi, B.L. Tikoo, Dr. Usha Tickoo, Dr. A.K.Koul, K. Sher, Rajinder Tikoo, Jitender Parimo and Vinod Bhat.
