REASI, Feb 15: President, Youth Congress Kalakote, Wasim Kohli, visited far-flung areas of Kalakote constituency and took stock of various hardships being faced by the people.
During his visit, Kohli took serious note of the lack of basic amenities including water and power supply. He observed that the villages are facing acute scarcity of water supply because of the damaged pipes and callous attitude of the PHE Department.
He further stressed on the need for lift water schemes in for steep and hilly villages.
He also observed that students have been left at the mercy of God as there is nobody to take their classes in the school.
Meanwhile, representatives of Gujjar-Bakerwal community apprised the Youth Congress leader about the hardship being faced by them due to shortage of ration and other essential commodities.
Kohli showed his solidarity with the suffering of people and assured them to take up all their matters with concerned authorities for proper redressal.
