KISHTWAR, Dec 3: Vice Chancellor of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) Rajouri, along with member Waqaf Council and MLC from Kishtwar Firdous Ahmed Tak today conducted the visit of Islamia School complex Kishtwar to access the feasibility for establishment of Nursing College at Kishtwar under Waqaf Property Act.
After inspecting building infrastructure and other facilities available within the Islamia School Kishtwar premises, the visiting Vice Chancellor, Prof Javed Mussarat, who was appointed as a Nodal Officer for establishment of Nursing colleges in the State, disclosed that the Government was interested to start classes soon for the newly announced nursing colleges.
Though the decision was taken on short note, we are ready to establish the Nursing College at Kishtwar for which classes will be started form next academic session, he added.
Regarding starting of various BGSBU courses in Islamia School Kishtwar, Prof Mussarat said that he will look into issue and added that there was lot of thing needed to be done as well for the betterment of BGSBU.
Meanwhile, MLC Firdous Ahmed Tak laid stress for the judicious use of Waqaf property resources and added that with the establishment of Nursing College at Kishtwar, many unemployed youths will get job oriented trainings and can serve the people of the State in health sector as there is lot of requirement of professional health trainees. He said that the Government was looking forward for making the Waqaf properties functional and profit earning ventures.
Earlier, Prof Mussarat addressed the school management and students. He highlighted the importance of educational institutions in building the society and laid stress for maintaining quality education. He also held a meeting with the staff and management of Islamia School Kishtwar and discussed threadbare about the establishment of the nursing college and sought cooperation from the school management for successful starting of the classes from next academic session.
