BHADERWAH, Dec 21: Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha here today organized a protest rally against the killing of a religious minority man in Bangladesh.
The rally was led by Sabha president, Satish Kotwal and the protesters demanded justice for the victim.
The rally started from the historic Laxmi Narayan Temple and culminated at Seri Bazar, Bhaderwah.
Local residents, shopkeepers, civil society members, advocates and political representatives, participated in the rally.
The protesters raised slogans against the Bangladesh government.
At Seri Bazar, the protesters torched the effigy of Bangladesh government.
Addressing the protesters, Satish Kotwal said the killing of religious minorities in Bangladesh cannot be taken lightly.
Echoing similar sentiments, a local resident Neeraj Singh Kotwal said the incident has deeply shaken public confidence and called for strong diplomatic and legal measures to deter future attacks.
Advocate Manjeet Razdan, while addressing the protesters, termed the killing a violation of basic human rights.
The protest concluded peacefully with a collective resolve to continue raising the issue at every forum until the justice is delivered.
