JAMMU, Oct 12: The Jammu and Kashmir Police in Janipur area today claimed to have successfully recovered a kidnapped girl from Moradabad area of the Uttar Pradesh.
After receiving a complaint from the family members of the kidnapped girl (name withheld), a case FIR number 165/2025 under sections 87/49 of the BNS was registered at Police Station Janipur and investigation set into motion, said a police official.
Accordingly, he said, a team of police officials, including PSI Fida Hussain and HC Barkat Ali under the supervision of SHO Janipur Police Station, Inspector Vikram Sharma, SDPO Bakshi Nagar Satish Bhardwaj and SP City North Vivek Shekhar, traced and arrested the accused from Moradabad area of Uttar Pradesh.
Post recovery, the police official said the recovered girl was reunited with her family.13
