POONCH, Jan 9: The police recovered a young girl who was kidnapped from Hari Marhote area of Surankote three weeks ago.
A police spokesman said that Irshad Begum, who was allegedly kidnapped by one Mohd Farooq, son of Mohd Hussain, resident of Bedar (Mandi) on December 16, 2013, was recovered by police from Nishat area of Srinagar. Police party under the supervision of SHO Surankote recovered the girl from a hideout in Srinagar city today. The action was taken after parents of the girl lodged an FIR in this connection.
