KISHTWAR Oct 31: Stating that Jammu and Kashmir was passing through a most difficult phase, former Minister and National Conference MLC, Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo today cautioned the people against peace inimical elements while maintaining that religio-regional unity is imperative for harmonious growth of the State.
“Some political outfits, which have failed to deliver and keep commitments with the people, were trying to divide the State on religious and regional lines as a diversionary tactic without realising how detrimental it was for the larger interest of the people,” Mr Kichloo said while addressing NC office bearers and workers at Kishtwar this morning.
Mr Kichloo said that National Conference will not allow such mechanizations to succeed and urged the cadre to play frontal role in isolating such elements, who for lust of power had joined the hands by negating people’s mandate.
The former Minister stressed the need for channelizing energy of the youths for strengthening the party at grass- root level by actively involving them in party related affairs. He said that youth hold key to bringing change in the society and hoped that they will be provided larger space in the prevailing political scenario. He asked the party leaders to reach out to the masses along with the people friendly policies of National Conference and the development carried across the State from time to time.
Mr Kichloo said that PDP-BJP has failed in every sector as a result of which the State is suffering from a crisis like situation. “Due to their inherent contradictions and anti-people policies, the present dispensation has lost its credibility”, he added.
Speaking on this occasion District President, Tanveer Ahmed Kichloo said that employees are without salaries even on the Diwali festival. He referred to the problems confronted to the people on account of rations through CAPD Department and said that no sugar was given to the people on Diwali.
Former MLA Inderwal, Qazi Jalal Din also spoke on the occasion.
