JAMMU, Sept 24: MP Gulam Ali Khatana here today visited flood hit areas of Bamyal, Marh, Shiba, Panjali, and Bera Bali in Nagrota and assessed the damage caused by recent heavy rains.
Speaking on the occasion, the MP flayed NC led government for neglecting Nagrota after floods.
He urged the administration to ensure that affected families receive prompt support.
The MP was accompanied by officers who conducted on-the-spot assessment of damages caused by flash floods.
Khatana emphasized strict monitoring of all ongoing works and accountability of officials to guarantee that the people’s needs are met without delay.
He listened to the grievances of flood hit people and assured them full support.
“Government stands firmly with the people in this hour of distress and all help will be provided to address the losses,” he maintained adding that PM Modi is personally monitoring the situation and has directed all agencies to provide full support to the flood-hit people.
State vice president BJP, Zulafqar Ali Mumtaz; chairman, Rajak Ali Putto; Ch. Nasereen Akhter, Mandal Pardhan; Sanju Sharma, Block president; Sanjay Sharma, Talib Hussain, Mohd Sadeeq, Gafoor Hussain, Manzoor Ahmed and Bashir Ahmed also accompanied the MP.
