JAMMU, Oct 2: Gujjar Bakarwal Desh Tehreek-e-Insaaf, Jammu president, Choudhary Nazakat Khatana has condemned the illegal demolition of houses at Sidhra near Golf Club.
In a press release issued here, Choudhary Khatana said that the district administration and Jammu Development Authority (JDA), assisted by police and paramilitary forces, razed nearly 150 structures and houses at Sidhra yesterday, without giving any notice or intimation.
He questioned the administration why they are taking such actions against people of some specific community and no action is being taken against those settled illegally at Tawi Vihar, Gorkha Nagar.
He said recently authorities demolished a Muslim graveyard of about 17 kanals in RS Pura and turned it into a playground.
Khatana warned the JDA and district administration Jammu not to become rude and inhuman against poor Muslims in future otherwise there will be mass agitation in the Jammu.
