RAJOURI, July 2: People of Kha Panchayat of Budhal Assembly constituency of Rajouri district on Wednesday expressed their anger and protested against Budhal MLA Javed Iqbal and local administration and shouted slogans.
Their video of crossing the river and shouting slogans against the local MLA is going viral on social media. According to the information, people of Kha, a remote and backward Panchayat of Budhal Assembly constituency of Rajouri district, held protest against the MLA and local administration. The villagers claimed that they are deprived of basic facilities.
Due to lack of bridge and permanent path/ road to the said Panchayat, the villagers are forced to cross the river every day, risking their lives. The students going to school and college face the most trouble due to this. Students going to school or college, elderly men and women and sick people are especially troubled when the water level in the river rises during the rainy season. They have to wait for hours and their precious time is wasted.
The situation becomes even worse during the rainy season due to the rise in the water level of the Nallah. Many times students are unable to reach school and even they are stranded on the other side while returning home.
The villagers have appealed to the District administration many times but no concrete steps have been taken so far.
People have once again appealed to the Government and the District administration to pay immediate attention to this serious problem of Kha Panchayat and construct a permanent bridge / safe route, so that people can get relief from this problem.
