JAMMU, Dec 25: Social activist and chairman of the Samvedna Society, Keshav Chopra, was conferred with the prestigious Dogra Legacy Award titled ‘Duggar Di Virasat’ for his remarkable social service and contribution to community welfare.
The grand cultural event, Dogra Legacy Award – A Dogra Heritage & Culture Show, was organized by The Parmeshwari Care and Cure Charitable Trust (PCCC Trust) in collaboration with Bharat Bharati, J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages, and J&K Tourism at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu, on the occasion of Dogri Maanyata Diwas Week.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Kulbhushan Mohtra, managing trustee & co-ordinator while speaking said, “Keshav Chopra’s tireless efforts in public welfare, youth empowerment, and cultural promotion embody the very essence of Dogra pride. His work inspires countless others to dedicate themselves to the service of society.”
The award was presented to Keshav Chopra by Sham Lal Sharma (MLA Jammu North) accompanied by Madhu Krishan (eminent scientist & peace building humanitarian and educationist).
Sham Lal Sharma said, “Through Samvedna Society, Keshav Chopra has conducted over a 100 free health check-up camps, facilitated Ayushman Bharat Ration and Aadhaar Card distribution drives, organized voter awareness and drug de-addiction programmes. His dedication towards nurturing youth and preserving Dogra culture is truly commendable”.
The event witnessed vibrant performances showcasing the rich Dogra culture and traditions, celebrating the legacy and pride of Duggar Desh.
