JAMMU, Oct 10: Social activist and Chairman of Samvedna Society, Keshav Chopra, organized a public outreach and welfare distribution drive in Jammu, during which Ayushman Bharat Cards, Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) Cards, and Voter ID Cards were distributed among local residents, including youths and senior citizens.
Speaking on the occasion, Chopra said the initiative aimed to ensure that Government welfare schemes reach every section of society, particularly the underprivileged and those unaware of their entitlements.
Highlighting the benefits of the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY), Chopra informed that the scheme provides health insurance coverage of Rs 5 lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization, enabling cashless access to healthcare services at empaneled hospitals across India.
He also elaborated on the importance of the ABHA Card, which allows individuals to securely store and access their digital health records, promoting a seamless and paperless healthcare system.
Appreciating the efforts of the Government of India and the J&K Administration in improving healthcare and digital empowerment at the grassroots level, Chopra assured that Samvedna Society will continue its mission to raise awareness about welfare schemes, drug prevention, and citizen empowerment.
