MENDHAR, June 17: The police has registered a case against a CAPD kerosene oil dealer and two truck drivers for black marketing of kerosene and selling it to the local traders in Mendhar area of Poonch district.
Reports said that a police party led by SHO Mendhar, Manzoor Kohli under the supervision of SDPO Neeraj Padyar during raid at two places in Kottan area late night and seized 1610 liters of kerosene oil which was being loaded in private trucks bearing registration No. JK02AN-2658 and JK 14B-2209.
The police team seized both the trucks and the oil barrels and brought the same to Mendhar Police Station. A case FIR No. 124/2020 U/S 3/7 E.C Act was registered against the dealer and two drivers. Further investigation has been initiated.
SDPO Mendhar said that Abdul Qayoom, resident of Kota village of Mendhar Tehsil, who is kerosene oil dealer, was already booked in a similar case while today again was found indulging in such activity.
