KOCHI, Sep 14: Kerala celebrated Sree Krishna Ashtami with vibrant devotion and cultural fervor across all districts today.
Organized by Balagokulam, the festivities featured children dressed as Lord Krishna and Radha, Shobhayatras, temple rituals, community gatherings, and cultural programs.
In Thiruvananthapuram, grand processions commenced from the Palayam Maha Ganapati Temple, while Kochi and Kozhikode hosted cultural events and street processions. Thrissur celebrated extensively at Guruvayur Temple with special weddings, feasts, and Shobhayatras.
Districts including Kottayam, Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta, Palakkad, Malappuram, Wayanad, Idukki, Kollam, and Kasaragod conducted temple rituals, devotional feasts, and children’s performances, reflecting local traditions.
In Kannur, Balagokulam and cultural processions highlighted the district’s heritage. Across Kerala, the celebrations combined devotion, cultural pride, and community spirit, with children taking center stage to embody the joy and teachings of Lord Krishna.
