KDF holds meet, discusses burning issues

JAMMU, Sept 28: A meeting of Kishtwar Development Forum (KDF) was held today under the chairmanship of its president, SA Kichloo, MLA Kishtwar, to discuss some of the burning issues.
During the meeting it was unanimously resolved that the engineering candidates, both Degree and Diploma holders of the district should be appointed on top basis in various power projects to be started in the district. It was also resolved that free supply of electricity may be approved by PDD for lifting of drinking water from HRT Shalimar to Kishtwar reservoirs.
Moreover, 1% revenue from Dul Hasti Power Project may be earmarked at the earliest for Local Area Development on Kishtwar plateau, the meeting said.
Kichloo assured the members for follow up action. He apprised the members about the outcome of demands already projected and his efforts for obtaining sanctions and approval of various schemes, especially drinking water supply scheme and approval of DPRs.
