KC Public School organises animal welfare day

JAMMU, Nov 10: KC Public School organized animal welfare day in the junior school to sensitize the students about the need for international cooperation in order to address matters of animal welfare which is grave global concern.
A special assembly was held which emphasized the need to end cruelty towards animals and improve their welfare around the world.
The assembly comprised of animal welfare songs, dance and talk show. A street play was also presented which brought home the message that animal also has the right to lead a good life so we should follow the maxim of ‘Live and let live’.
A puppet show with animal characters was presented for pre-primary wing. Addressing the students, the headmistress, Sofia Rana talked about diverse roles that animals play in our lives from being our companions, supporting and helping us, bringing a sense of wonder into our lives and maintaining ecological balance.
