Club connecting youth to Indian culture: Yudhvir

JAMMU, Mar 6: Paving way for fulfilling the long awaited demand of people of walled city with regard to bringing back the vibrancy enshrined in over 150 years old Ram Leela Manch inside Dewana Mandir at Panjtirthi, former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta vowed to restore the pristine glory of this age old platform meant to propagate rich cultural legacy of Duggar Pradesh through various modes of expression including staging of annual feature of Ram Leela ahead of Dussehra festival.
Former Deputy Chief Minister along with general secretary, J&K BJP, Yudhvir Sethi carried out a detailed visit of famous Dewana Mandir in Panjtirthi area wherein they took a round and had first hand information about the condition of park and auditorium.
After inspecting the existing edifice, Kavinder assured that soon the work on developing this temple premises will be taken up and a grandiose infrastructure for carrying out multifarious religious and social activities with extreme ease will be ensured. He assured that concerned government agencies will be roped-in for materializing the proposed plan of developing this shrine to once again make this place focal point for cultural, religious and social gatherings enabling local populace to quench its desire of celebrating life amid community members sitting side by side.
Kavinder assured all possible support to the Club for its endeavour in preserving the rich folklore of the region and the country. He said that India is considered as a great nation across the globe only because of her rich cultural legacy and blissful heritage, and the Club’s efforts in maintaining this glory is praiseworthy and should be supported by all the stakeholders. He especially congratulated Sethi, who is the Chairman of Ram Leela Club, for his extraordinary initiatives in depicting India’s glorious past through such a medium.
Yudhvir Sethi, while giving a brief account of the Club’s functioning, said that the aim of the Club is to propagate the great Indian philosophy among its people and also to provide adequate space to the budding artists for showcasing their talent and grooming them to become meaningful citizens of the country. He said that his sole aim is to connect the youth to the roots of Indian culture which in turn will help in creating a society having moral and ethical values and will be worth living.
He said that such endeavours are the need of time as aforesaid epics of Indian Subcontinent teach us to follow pluralistic ethos and camaraderie.
