JAMMU, Feb 21: VSK Kaumudi, an IPS officer, today took over as new Additional Director Ge-neral of Ce-ntral Rese-rve Police Force (CR-PF), Jammu and Kashmir zone.
He replaced SN Shrivastava.
Kaumudi had joined the IPS in 1986 and served as SP in J&K, CBI, Additional DG Railways and the National Investigation Agency. He had also served as Additional DG in the Bureau of Public Research and Development.
In his farewell speech, Shrivastava said law and order situation in Jammu and Kashmir is very peculiar and challenging and expressed happiness that the CRPF officers and men are tackling it effectively.
