JAMMU: The Super Specialty Hospital (SSH) of Katra got first Linear Accelerator of Jammu and Kashmir to treat various cancer patients.
”The Institute of Oncology at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Kakryal, Katra comprising the Department of Surgical Oncology, Medical Oncology, Haemato Oncology and Radiation Oncology is now functional,” an official spokesman here said.
He said the most advanced radiation machine Elekta-Versa HD has been installed in Superspeciality Hospital, Kakryal and is now available to provide treatment to cancer patients.
”With the start of this facility, the SSH Kakryal has become the first hospital in the State to provide such services,” he added and said various cancer treatments ie Surgical, Medical, Radiation Oncology are now available to the people of J&K under one roof. (AGENCIES)
