KATRA, June 11: The Chamber of Tourism Trade and Industry Katra (CTTIK), in collaboration with UCO Bank, organized an insightful MSME Carnival Session aimed at empowering local entrepreneurs and enhancing financial literacy among stakeholders of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector.
The session was graced by K Preethi, Deputy General Manager of UCO Bank who served as the chief guest and keynote speaker. She was joined by Rahul Ranjan, Zonal Manager who attended as guest of honour, and senior bank officials Jai Bhushan Parmoria and Rohit Gupta both of whom addressed the gathering and shared practical insights on banking schemes, credit support and the evolving role of MSMEs in regional economic development.
Also present on the occasion were J S Negi, Vikas Kumar, Deepesh Kumar and Harsh Vardhan, all Chief Managers of UCO Bank. The session saw enthusiastic participation from industry stakeholders, entrepreneurs, delegates, media representatives, and members of CTTIK.
Raj Kumar Padha, president of CTTIK, in his welcome address, emphasized the importance of maintaining financial discipline and a healthy CIBIL score which serves as a vital tool in availing enterprise funding. He also lauded UCO Bank for offering tailor-made financial solutions to suit the needs of the hospitality sector in J&K and particularly of Katra.
The MSME Carnival was envisioned as a platform for local business leaders to interact with financial and policy experts and to highlight the essential role MSMEs play as the backbone of the Indian economy.
The vote of thanks was presented by Atul Sharma, Secretary of CTTIK while proceedings of the session were conducted by Nishant Gupta, Manager UCO Bank Katra. Among others who were present on the occasion were prominent members of the business and social fraternity including Shiv Kumar Sharma, Ashok Kumar Padha, Kuldeep Kesar, Sham Badu, Raman Goswami, Ramnik Sharma, Manav Sanmotra, Neelam Singh, Rattan Sharma, Vivek Gupta, Jagdev Singh, Raj Kumar Dubey, Shagun Padha, Manohar Singh, Rameshwar Sharma and others.
The event concluded on a high note with a shared resolve to strengthen and uplift the MSME ecosystem in the region through collective efforts and collaboration.
