JAMMU, Jan 30: Kathua Railway Station has been officially named as Martyr Captain Sunil Kumar Choudhary Kathua Railway Station by Government today.
An order to this effect was issued by General Administrative Department (GAD) here, today.
Commenting on the decision Union Minister in PMO with independent Charge of Science & Technology and Earth Sciences Ministries, Dr Jitendra Singh has thanked Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for expeditiously responding to the popular demand presented before him by the people of the Kathua for the renaming of Kathua Railway Station after the war martyr who was the son of the soil.
Dr Jitendra Singh on X also thanked the Home Minister, Amit Shah and Railway Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw for their kind cooperation in facilitating the official process.
He wrote on X “Kathua Railway Station renamed as Martyr Captain Sunil Kumar Choudhary Kathua Railway Station”.
