KATHUA, Nov 7: Kathua Police seized eight vehicles including six dumpers and two Excavator machines indulged in illegal transportation of construction material in the jurisdictional area of Police Post (PP) Hatli near here, today.
Police said its team headed by PSI, Mohammad Towheed Khan in charge PP Hatli under the supervision of Dy SP Headquarters, Kathua Manjeet Singh and SHO PS Kathua, Inspector, Sudhir Sadhotra during patrolling/checking in its jurisdictional area at Sahar Khad Logate area
seized eight vehicles including six dumpers bearing Registration Numbers JKO8K-8024, JK08M-9913, JK08L-2164, JK08L-2165, PB35Z-2031 & PB35Z-2029 along with two Excavators indulged in illegal mining and transportation of construction material without any legal permission.
All the eight vehicles indulged in illegal mining were seized and immediately handed over to the officials of the Geological and Mining Department Kathua for further legal proceedings, police said.
