KATHUA, Nov 11: Continuing its drive against illegal mining, J&K police Kathua under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua, Mohita Sharma has seized six vehicles in the jurisdictional of Police Post Hatli and Police Station (PS), Hiranagar area which were being used for illegal mining/transportation of the construction material.
In the first instance, a police team headed by IC PP Hatli, PSI Shubham Mahajan under the guidance of Additional SP, Kathua, Rahul Charak JKPS and Dy SP Headquarters, Kathua Ravinder Singh while performing patrolling duty in their jurisdictional area, have seized five vehicles bearing Registration Numbers PB03B-M0534,PB22Y-8316,PBM-6241,PB06BL-2986,PB05AQ-9275 which were being used for illegal transportation of the construction material in the area.
While in the second instance police team led by SHO PS Hiranagar, Ashish Sharma under the guidance of SDPO Border, Dheeraj Singh Katoch while performing patrolling duty in their jurisdictional area, have seized one vehicle indulged in illegal mining and transportation of construction material.
All the six vehicles have been seized by Kathua Police and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Kathua for further legal action.
