KATHUA, July 12: Kathua police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua, RC Kotwal today seized four vehicles involved in illegal transportation of construction material in the jurisdiction of Police Station, Kathua.
Police said a team headed by Inspector, O P Chib, SHO PS Kathua under the supervision of DySP Headquarters, Kathua, Shammi Kumar today seized four vehicles i.e one tractor (Swaraj) bearing Registration Number, PB35Y-0729 being driven by Sumit Kumar, son of Jarman Singh of Ward No. 13 Hatli Morh, tehsil and district Kathua, Tractor (Swaraj) without any Registration Number driven by Sethu son of Faqir Chand of Ward No. 04 tehsil & district Kathua, Tractor (Swaraj) bearing Registration Number, Jk08E-3326 being driven by Sukhdev son of Raj Kumar of Govindsar tehsil and district Kathua, Tractor (Mahindra) bearing Registration Number JK08K-9359 driven by Mohammad Shafi, son of Sheru of Palli Morh tehsil and district Kathua from Maggar Khad and Bhagthalli area of PS Kathua which were involved in illegal extraction/ transporting of construction material from the area. All the four vehicles were seized which were immediately handed over to the officials of Geological and Mining Department Kathua for further legal proceedings.
