Kathua police rescues 9 bovines

KATHUA, Mar 25: To contain the activities of bovine smuggling in Kathua, police team of Police Station(PS), Rajbagh foiled bovine smuggling bid and rescued nine bovines and arrested the accused.
A Police team of Police Post (PP), Marheen under the supervision of SI, Vikas Sharma in its jurisdictional area near Mathura Chack intercepted two persons who were enroute Jammu from Korepunnu via Tarnah Nallah along with bovines. On questioning, they disclosed their identity as Saffudin, S/o Raheem Ali of Dohlian Jattian and his accomplice namely Qayoom, son of Bashir of Samny Panj Garh Udhampur. The police team rescued nine bovines on spot which were being transferred illegally and both of the accused were arrested on spot.
A case FIR No. 33/2021 US 188 IPC Act has been registered in the concerned Police Station and further investigation into this matter has been initiated.
