Kathua Police organizes debate competition

KATHUA, Feb 8: Kathua Police organized debate competition on Anti-Drug under Civic Action Programme (CAP) in which 14 students from different schools participated.
The debate competition was held to bring awareness among the students and the whole society about ill effects of drug menace.
On the occasion   SDPO Basohli, DySP  Jagdev Singh, SHO Basohli SI Braham Dev and senior citizens of the area were present.
SDPO Basohli while addressing the students congratulated them for their participation and aware them about drug menace. He also briefed them about symptoms of drug addictions and precautions to get away from it. Gitanjali and Ashiqa both studying in 9th Standard of JNV Basohli  bagged first and second prize respectively, whereas Rajat Kapoor of Ramist Public School stood third in the competition.
The winners of the competitions were felicitated with trophies and certificates. Rest of the participants were also given certificate of participation.
