Kathua police arrests drug peddler, seizes 15.20 grams of heroin

KATHUA, Mar 7: Intensifying its action against drug dealings and to neutralise the activities of drug peddlers within the district, J&K Police, Kathua under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua Ms. Mohita Sharma recovered approximately 15 .20 grams of Heroin (Chitta) in the jurisdictional area of Police Post (PP) Marheen of Rajbagh Police Station (PS) and arrested one drug peddler along with narcotics substance got seized on spot.
Police said on March 3 a team led by In Charge PP Marheen, PSI Gulshan Partap Singh under the supervision of SP Operations, Kathua, Mukund Tibrewal and SDPO Border, Dheeraj Singh Katoch, Inspector, Sushil Sharma SHO PS Rajbagh during naka checking in its jurisdictional area at Marheen noticed one suspect who was directed to stop for checking. On physical checking approximately 15.20 grams of Heroin (Chitta) like narcotics recovered from the possession of Bagh Hussain, son of Lal Din of Mukandpur tehsil Marheen district Kathua.
In this regard, FIR No. 61/2026 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rajbagh and further investigation was set into motion.
Thereafter all the recovered narcotics approximately 15.20 grams Heroine was seized and one drug peddler was arrested on spot.
