SRINAGAR, Dec 7: In a significant recognition of youth leadership from India, young environmental and community-impact Advocate Sehar Khan from Kashmir has been invited to participate in two major United Nations sessions in Geneva.
She has received official accreditation for the “UN Committee on the Protection of Migrant Workers (CMW) – 41st Session at Palais Wilson” and for the “Peace and Human Rights – Better Together” session at Palais des Nations, the UN’s main European headquarters.
Sehar’s selection reflects her growing presence in global conversations on migration, environmental sustainability, peace building, and human rights. She has positioned herself as one of the prominent Gen-Z figures advocating for vulnerable communities, migrant labourers, youth participation, and inclusive policy-making.
Her engagements with platforms linked to COP16, G20 youth forums, and various other global events have strengthened her profile as a young Indian emerging in international civic spaces.
Speaking ahead of her UN address, Sehar said, “I am going to Geneva as Kashmir’s voice, carrying the hopes of young peace-builders who believe in unity, progress, and a stronger India.” She described her participation as part of a generational journey committed to transforming challenges into a message of harmony.
