JAMMU, Mar 21: Kashmiri migrants dependent on cash doles from Government are still deprived of monthly ration of February and March as for over last fortnight the stalemate created on distribution of ration after the implementation of National Food Security Act (NFSA) and brining the Kashmiri migrants under its purview has not been resolved.
The migrants putting up in various camps of Jammu are up in arms against the authorities saying that it was the Government which is responsible for their displacement as it failed to act against the Pak sponsored terrorists well in time who forced them to flee from Valley.
Talking to this reporter Vijay Kaul of Migrants Welfare Committee Jagti said that instead of restoring our homeland to us the Government was adding to our miseries further.
What can be more callousness of the authorities towards the hapless people that for the first time in last 26 years of their migration were deprived of ration on the occasion of Holi festival of and Maha Shivratri, he said.
Various KP organisations and camp bodies have shown their total resentment against the same.
Government is responsible for our plight. It’s callous towards the hapless people who have been thrown out of their homes and hearts over 26 years back, said Desh Rattan president AMCCC.
JTC president Shadi Lal Pandita while supporting the same said they would block traffic on the National Highway if the Government failed to provide ration to them.
“We will be left with no alternative but to block the National Highway as the majority of the displaced families are dependent on the monthly ration supply,” Pandita added.
