SRINAGAR, Nov 9: A Kashmir resident lost his life in a tragic road accident that occurred today at Lucknow Bypass.
Sources said the deceased has been identified as Javaid Ahmad Mir, a resident of Bul Bul Nowgam, Anantnag. He was travelling in a vehicle bearing registration number JK03F-3178 when it collided with a truck, resulting in his on-spot death.
Local police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further investigation. The body was shifted for medico-legal formalities, while efforts are underway to ascertain the cause of the accident, sources added.
