JAMMU, June 1: In a strong and united show of resolve, prominent Kashmiri Hindu leaders, intellectuals and social activists from across Delhi NCR convened to oppose what they called deliberate attempts to distort the Kashmiri hindu genocide narrative, project illegitimate leadership, and bypass the core community demand for a separate homeland within the Union of India.
The gathering was organized by Youth 4 Panun Kashmir. The meet witnessed a powerful reaffirmation of the community’s foundational stand, no reconciliation without justice, no return without dignity, and no future without Homeland.
Dr Agnishekhar, founder convenor of Panun Kashmir, who could not attend the meet due to his ill health, stated in a powerful message, “Our resolve is our identity. No self-respecting nation negotiates its genocide, nor shall we.”
Kundan Kashmiri, president of the Kashmiri Pandit Conference, warned the Government against promoting “imposters” and stressed community unity and vigilance. Sumeer Chrungoo, president of Kashmiri Samiti Delhi, termed recent efforts to dilute the Homeland demand as “unacceptable and dangerous.”
Dileep Mattoo of Jammu Kashmir Vichar Manch highlighted an agenda to replace genuine voices with “curated narratives,” a concern echoed by Amit Raina of Roots in Kashmir, who said past efforts to manufacture legitimacy have failed and will fail again.
Veteran activist Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo called for “no forgiveness, no forgetting,” while Dr Ramesh Raina, former president of All India Kashmiri Samaj, emphasized the importance of reclaiming narrative and moral ground.
Vithal Chowdhary, president of Youth 4 Panun Kashmir, concluded the event stating, “This is not resistance alone-it’s a civilizational assertion. Homeland is the only guarantee of justice and continuity.”
The meet saw participation from numerous respected community figures, with proceedings conducted by Digamber Raina, general secretary, Youth 4 Panun Kashmir. The collective declared unequivocally: no engagement with falsehoods, no recognition of proxy figures and no compromise on the Homeland vision.
