Kashmir Women Premier League concludes

BARAMULLA, Dec 4: Kashmir Women Premier League-2020, organised by Army, concluded at Jhelum Stadium, here today.
About six teams from all across the Northern, Southern and Central regions of the Kashmir valley participated.
The tournament was organized and conducted by the Dagger Gunners under the aegis of Dagger Division of Chinar Corps in collaboration with NGO -Save Youth Save Future.
The final match was played between Srinagar Warriors and Game Swingers Baramulla wherein Srinagar Warriors was declared as champion of the tournament while Iqra Rasool of Game Swingers Baramulla was declared as woman of the series.
All the players of the participating teams were felicitated with mementos and participation certificates. “This unique endeavour will send a strong signal of ‘Women Empowerment’ for female cricketers of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir to showcase their talent and standards to the Nation”, said organiser of the tournament.
Players hailed the efforts of the Army and urged them to organize such tournaments in the future as well. They said such tournaments would encourage the local players and help them to compete at the national level.
