SRINAGAR, June 10: The Abhinav Gupt Sandesh Yatra reached holy shrine of Tulmulla today where it was received by a large number of devotees drawn from different parts of the State.
The International president of Abhinav Gupt Sandesh Yatra and chairman Art of Living Shri Shri Ravi Shanker was also present on the occasion. Shri Shri Ravi Shanker earlier performed Kalash Pooja which was followed by pooja archana of Goddess Shakti at the holy temple of Mata Kheer Bhawani.
Addressing the religious gathering Shri Shri Ravi Shanker said Abhinav Gupt’s writings are full of philosophy. He said entire world knows about this great philosopher and world renowned scholar but in Kashmir very less are familiar about him and his personality despite the fact that he belonged to this place and has propounded his philosophy and thought from here.
He said Kashmir Shaiv Darshan is pinnacle of Philosophical system. It is apex and it reveals underlined between God and his creation. Realizing God one should read this philosopher king who was the son of soil. To realize God we should go inward as Abhinav Gupt did. He has made commentary on theory of drama and stage which no one could surpass till date nor has done prior to him.
Shri Shri Ravi Shanker said people are taking renewed interest in this philosophy throughout world now. It has spirit of universalization as well as scientific and logical synthesis. He said the Art of Living had started teaching Shaiv Darshan in eighties.
Earlier welcome address was made by Shiv Prassad Raina president of State Millennium Celebration Committee. He said our objective is world peace and not strife and hatred. “We want to free world from strife and problems being faced by the people”, he added.
“We are for promotion of peace all over globe and end hatred”, he said.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Padamshree J L Koul, national president of Millennium celebrations. The stage was managed by Pardeep Koul a well known scholar.
The year long millennium celebrations will conclude in January next year.
The next phase of celebrations will begin with seminars and discussions by intellectuals.
Tomorrow the function will be held at Zeshta Devi Shrine in which Shri Shri Ravi Shanker and other scholars will participate.
