SRINAGAR : Only one-way traffic continued on the the Srinagar-Jammu national highway, connecting the Kashmir valley with the rest of the country.
A traffic police official said vehicles from Jammu to Srinagar will be allowed today. However, the vehicles had to cross the Nagrota by 0900 hrs and Udhampur 1200 hrs. No vehicle will be allowed after the deadline.
He said no vehicle will be allowed from Srinagar to Jammu to avoid any traffic jam or accident on the highway.
Meanwhile, several thousand of vehicles, including trucks carrying essentials, including vegetables, rice, atta, gas cylinders, petrol, diesel, chicken and sheep besides those carrying passengers left Jammu this morning for Kashmir. (AGENCIES)
