JAMMU, Feb 15: BJP secretary, Rekha Mahajan, today said that her party is a party of principles, working for the upliftment of all the sections of the society, irrespective of their religion, caste and creed. Karyakarta is the backbone and strength of the party and the BJP gives its workers full opportunity to move forward, she added while addressing a meeting of Shakti Kendra Pramukhs and booth presidents in Ward No. 12 of Talab Tillo Mandal of district Jammu.
The meeting was organised under the presidentship of Mandal president, Keshav Chopra and Corporator of the Ward, Jeet Angral. She was accompanied by Seh Prabhari Shailja Gupta, district general secretaries, Rajesh Gupta and Karan Sharma and vice president, SC Morcha Krishan Digra.
Rekha appealed the Karyakarta to strengthen the party at the booth level by making ten youth in one booth adding that to win the election the workers must strengthen the party at booth level.
“In order to make our booth active we should celebrate our six festivals at booth level, which include Samrasta Diwas on Bhim Rao Ambedkar’s Jayanti, Foundation Day of the party, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookerjee birthday, birthday of PM, Narendra Modi as Sewa Diwas, Deen Dayal Upadhyay’s death anniversary as Balidan Diwas, birth anniversary of Pt. Prem Nath Dogra as Khel Diwas and birthday of Bharat Ratan Atal Ji as Sushasan Diwas” Rekha said and stressed that every month the workers should also listen PM’s Mann Ki Baat along with their colleagues and residents of booth.
She further said that it is only BJP where a person from an ordinary family becomes a PM and CM and changes the fate of the country and State. It was only BJP which had a democratic set-up that allows grass root workers to rise to the top. “Ours is a party with Neeti (policy), Neta (leader), Karikram (programme) and Karyakarta (worker)”, she added.
Rekha said that BJP is committed to uproot poverty in the society for which dozens of public welfare schemes have been launched by the Central Government under PM Narendra Modi. Jeet Angral Corporator of the Ward said that various schemes of the Centre are driven by the ideology of ‘Antyodaya’, envisaging relief to the last man in the row. Proceedings of programme was conducted by district general secretary, Rajesh Gupta.
