SAMBA, Apr 5: Apni Party provincial president, Jammu and former Minister, Manjit Singh has appealed to the Jal Shakti Department to ensure tap water to each household in Bari Brahmana, Samba district.
Addressing a meeting which was organized by women leader, Shavni Koul under the leadership of Women Wing, provincial president, Jammu, Pavneet Koul, the former Minister said that the people in Kartholi village and adjoining areas lack clean drinking water supply through tap.
“The Jal Shakti Department should take initiative to ensure supply of drinking water at each household in these villages in Bari Brahmana,” he said while addressing the meeting cum joining programme.
He said that the administration and field departments have not provided the needed facilities to the people with regard to the basic amenities including water, electricity, proper roads, lanes and drains in Bari Brahmana villages.
He said that the people are fed-up with the administration for neglecting the general population, especially the marginalized section with regard to development.
“The people are facing disparity in absence of an elected Government. To end the suffering of the people, the Assembly elections are a must but the delaying tactics has affected the development and disappointed the people of both regions who were waiting for the elections for the last four years,” he said.
He said that the Government should restore the Statehood to Jammu and Kashmir as downgrading has not been welcomed by the people of two regions.
He also referred to various other developmental activities including road construction, drainage, electricity, and water supply system in the neglected areas.
He urged the party leaders and workers to ensure ground work in Samba villages to spread the message of party president, Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari for equitable development.
Meanwhile, other leaders of the Apni Party also addressed the meeting cum joining programme. Prominent among those who attended the meeting include Apni Trade Union State president Ajaz Kazmi, provincial president, Jammu, Youth Wing, Vipul Bali, vice president Jammu, Urban, Vaibhav Mattoo, district president, Women Wing, Ritu Pandita, Ankush Dogra, Abinav Sharma, Sheetal, and others.
