JAMMU, Nov 17: JKPCC chief Tariq Hameed Karra today chaired a review- cum-preparatory meeting of the party to for organizing a grand function at Jammu in connection with the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on Nov 19.
The meeting was attended by working president Raman Bhalla, senior leaders, former ministers/ Ex- Legislators, DCC presidents, heads of frontal wings and Ex Corporators. The meeting decided to celebrate the birth anniversary of Indira Gandhi on Nov 19 and in a befitting manner at Jammu.
Addressing the gathering, PCC chief asked the party leaders and workers to gear up their struggle for restoration of statehood and also to strengthen the grass root committees, block committee, district committees with induction of right and dedicated and committed workers at all levels. He said that working of committees shall be reviewed and the committees at all levels shell be reconstituted and to further strengthen them.
He said that till new committees are constituted the existing District and Block committees shall continue to function and asked them to gear up their activities in respective areas. He said that second line leadership shall be encouraged and promoted based on merit and said that there shall no favoritism or bias in giving opportunities to work in the organization.
Karra also said that “Ghar Ghar Dastak-Har Ghar Dastaka” campaign for restoration of statehood shall be launched and series of programs shall be initiated till the statehood is restored.
