Karnataka Judges targeted by stone pelters

JAMMU, May 10: Two Judges from Karnataka were twice attacked by the stone pelters at Narbal and Bijbehara in Kashmir on May 7 and 8 in which the Judges and their family members had narrow escape.
Bharathi BS, District Judge, Family Court and KG Chinta, Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Bangalore, first came under attack at Narbal in Budgam district on May 7 when they were heading toward Gulmarg and again on May 8 near Bijbehara when they were on way to Pahalgam.
Bharathi was travelling with her husband, daughter and her 85-year old father, who is also a retired Judge.
They escaped unhurt due to smartness displayed by the driver.
On Monday, R Thirumani, a young tourist from Chennai was killed in stone pelting incident at Narbal.
