NEW DELHI, July 27: Expressing deep concern over the steep rise in number of COVID-19 cases in Jammu and Kashmir, former Sadar-e-Riyasat Dr Karan Singh has stressed for arranging sufficient number of designated beds and ventilators at J&K hospitals on emergency basis.
“I hope that the administration has ensured enough designated beds for COVID in both capitals as well as the district headquarters, along with a sufficient number of ventilators. This needs to be done on an emergency basis and it would be useful if regular statements are put out regarding the exact position on a weekly basis so that the public is kept informed,” he said in a statement, issued here today.
Dr Karan Singh said that he was deeply concerned and distressed at the growth of the Corona virus both in Jammu as well as in Kashmir and the growing number of unfortunate deaths. “My deep sympathy to the relatives and dear ones of the deceased,” he added.
