NEW DELHI, July 27: Freight rates for nine tonne pay load section for Kanpur and Patna improved by Rs 1000 in the local truck transport market today following blockage of roads amid busy cargo movements.
Transporters said diversions and blockage of roads due to “Kanwar-Yatra” mainly pushed up freights of these destinations.
Delhi to Kanpur rates rose by Rs 1000 to Rs 21,000, Patna freights also moved up by Rs 1000 at Rs 29,000.
Elsewhere other centres freight rates maintained overnight levels on some support.
