Kailash Sewa Sangh takes up issues with CCI

JAMMU, Jan 14: A delegation of  Kailash Sewa Sangh, Bhaderwah led by Ravi Mahajan chairman Jammu Vikas Paryatan Mandal called on president Chamber of Commerce and Industry Jammu, Y V Sharma and other office bearers at Chamber House today and projected various issues pertaining to Kailash Yatra.
It was stressed in the meeting that for conversion of  many houses into the paying guest houses   with additional accommodation,  aid of any soft loan be provided to the locals of Bhaderwah and adjoining areas.  They demanded that a Gandola  from Gurdana to Sonabain glacier with stretch of 1 km under PPP mode be installed for attracting tourists.
It was further stressed  that connectivity of Jai Valley and Gandoh tehsil and Bhaderwah  and from Bhaderwah to Seoj via Mathola be expedited. Road connectivity to the tourism destination Hanga-Noorie village be restored  and provision of  ski activities in Padri valley be explored. Bhaderwah festival be organised in more innovative manner and allotment of counters at Jammu Railway Station  and TRC Jammu for Travel Trade Association be considered, they  added.
CCI members assured that for the promotion of  annual Kailash Yatra and other economic activities they will take up these issues forcefully wth the concerned authorities so that maximum pilgrims and routine tourists could be attracted to Bhaderwah.
Arun Gupta, Sham Langar, B B Kotwal, Om Parkash Sharma from Kailash Sewa Sangh, H K Mahajan, Tariq Choudhary, Manoj Kotwal and others  also attended the meeting.
